Itajime Shibori by Mayori
Shibori originated in Japan and made its way to India in the early 20th century. The technique involves folding a piece of fabric and clamping it between two objects. Beautiful patterns are formed because the covered areas remain undyed during the dyeing process. Originally Shibori was performed by the rich hues of Indigo and is done on natural fabrics like silk and cotton. At Mayori, we have created a beautiful, soft, and luxurious Itajime Shibori collection that will definitely make head turns.
