The idea of work from home may have gained popularity in the pandemic, but in reality, the hybrid working model has been slowly taking over traditional modes of operations for years. With fast-evolving technology, you can now work from anywhere, provided you have a strong wifi connection. But does 'WFH' entitle you to lounge in your pajamas for the whole day?
If you want to increase your productivity and look presentable during your zoom calls, dress up as you use to for the office. When you dress up for work you set a tone for your day, feel good, and can separate your home life from your workspace!
How to look good on zoom
- Set up your workspace in a well-lit area of your home. Open your windows to allow natural light to flow in your space. Face the window to allow the natural light to illuminate your face.
- Pick vibrant shades of blue or purple, these look great onscreen. If you work in a creative field, go for fun prints and patterns that translate great over video.
- Add details to your neckline area with scarfs, simple accessories that won't make noise, camisole with a blazer, or collared tunics.
- Try your outfit in front of a mirror and preferably sit on the chair you will be using. Clothes can bunch up while sitting, a deep neckline with fall forwards, and extra-long sleeves and get in your way.
